GEHA will be closed in observance of the Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 20. We will reopen at 7 a.m. Central time on Tuesday, January 21.
GEHA cares about our community.
Our employees invest their time, energy and goodwill into helping children and families throughout our metro area. From raising money for the March of Dimes to participating in their annual March for Babies as well as the Kansas City Corporate Challenge and other events, there's no shortage of ways for the team at GEHA to express their generosity to the greater Kansas City community.
GEHA supports civic involvement, and we back that commitment with charitable contributions at both a local and national level. We engage in community projects that are meaningful to employees, demonstrate GEHA's commitment to the community, and provide assistance to groups affecting the community's health and wellness.
Significant charitable projects include:
- Boys & Girls Club.
- University of Kansas Cancer Center.
- Annual GEHA golf tournament, with proceeds benefiting local charities.
- Annual United Way campaign.
- Cristo Rey. Through student employment, we help disadvantaged students fund college-preparatory high school education.
Other organizations that GEHA has supported include Alzheimer’s Research, Ararat Shrine, Avila University, CASA, Community Blood Center, Community Services League, Drumm Foundation, EqDHSD, Gesundheit! Institute, Harvester’s, Hillcrest Ministries, Hope House, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Komen Cancer Foundation, Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation, March of Dimes, Marian Hope Center, NAACP, National MS Society, Pets for Life, Truman Heartland Community Foundation, United Negro College Fund, Urban League and YMCA.
